The Lindis
What’s so beautiful about New Zealand is its nature, together with its architecture and views this hotel captivates it perfectly. You realize how little you are in this massive beautiful place called earth. This hotel in particular stands out from the rest of them by having these mirrored pods where you can sleep in. They also have lots of activities such as shooting, fly fishing, archery, and more.
We slept in the main house where you check in and eat dinner. The views from inside were out of this world and the food here was the best we’ve had all trip. We also visited the pods and got to check one out, they are super cool.
Lodge Suite
We decided to stay in the main house and this suite did not disappoint. It was a nice size room with a tub. The only downside I would say is that it didn’t have a/c and we were there in the summer time but fans and a portable a/c unit were provided for the room. Pre dinner drinks and canapĂ©s were also included in the room which was a lovely touch.
Amenities
Since theres so much ground to cover in the property itself theres many things to do. They have a farm, numerous of walking trials, and a private tub that gets refilled every time someone wants to use it with fresh spring water. We also went shooting and massages are available if needed.
Black Diamond
This was probably my favorite part of the hotel. A small private eating area is tucked away between hills with amazing views. We got there by car from the hotel and everything was set up for us to have lunch. We had a bottle of champagne and the chef prepared the food while we soaked up the views. It was something so special words and pictures can’t even begin to describe it.
Fly Fishing
I know I said that Black Diamond was probably my favorite thing from the hotel but I think it’s tie between that and fly fishing in this property. It was the most beautiful calming activity I could’ve done in my life. You are just truly one with nature here and I couldn’t think of a better place to be.
