Bay of Many Coves
Here is where we started our adventures in the South Island. We took a ferry from Wellington across the Malborough Sound, and then a water taxi to this resort. We booked our trip last minute so many of the hotels we wanted to go to were already booked but luckily we were able to experience one night here. It’s definitely a very unique place, since the main way to get in or out is by boat. The hotel does not have a/c which was not ideal in the summer time and opening the windows was not an option since there are a lot of bugs. They do have hiking trails and you can paddle or kayak around which was really cool.
